Regular Events

Wharf Youth Theatre

With your The Wharf Theatre here in Devizes has survived these recent tricky times. They are are now not only delighted to be opening again with a full season of productions, but are also able to announce that the launch of their very own dedicated Youth Theatre.

The Junior Actors Company will be led by Lucia Pupilli for school years 6-9 and the Senior Actors Company will be led by Lou Cox for school years 10-13. There will also be two standalone summer schools for each age group.

Tuesdays Men's Shed

Men's Shed runs every Tuesday from 10 'til 1. It's open to men and women at Needham House in Victoria Road, Devizes, and it's a chance for you to work on community projects, or one of your own.

Wednesdays Devizes Children’s Choir

On Wednesdays from 4.30 to 5.30pm the Devizes Children’s Choir takes place at the Baptist Church Hall Sheep Street. This is a children’s community choir for children from Year 1 upwards. They have been running for just under a year and their aim is to sing for fun and to go out and about in the community. The team sings at local events in the community, and at places like care homes. There are currently 24 children but would like to increase their numbers into their second year. For more information or to get involved call Heather Flower on 01380 722013.

Thursdays Salsa

The Devizes Salsa Classes on a Thursday Night have moved! They are now at Needham House in Victoria Road, so pop along for the best Salsa fun in town, 7.30pm on Thursday evenings.

Saturdays Slimming World

Every Saturday at 9am and 11am, pop along to Slimming World at the Nursteed Centre. Lose weight and feel great. Join the gang and make new friends whilst receiving some great support to help you lose weight.

Every Saturday Karaoke Disco Party

Come along to The Pelican Inn's Karaoke Disco Party, every Saturday from 8pm to 1am. Entry is free, and all ages are sure to enjoy!

First Saturday Each Month Wiltshire Farmers Market

On the first Saturday of the month it's the Wiltshire Farmers Market. It takes place in the Market Square, Devizes from 9am 'til 1pm with local artisan food, crafts and top quality goods available to purchase directly from the producers.

Sat 18 Sep The Big Avon Paddle

The Big Avon Paddle takes place on Saturday the 18th of September: 

Get on board with the paddle-board, and raise funds for patient care at Dorothy House. Starting at The Boathouse, in Bath, you'll travel along the River Avon with fellow paddlers towards The Chequers Inn, Bristol, and back again!

The challenge is a 17-mile round trip, but it's not a race! The group will travel at a speed of around 3mph, giving paddlers plenty of chance to take in the gorgeous scenery. The event begins at 10am and should take around 8 hours to complete.

Event entry costs £20 which covers the cost of refreshments, an event t-shirt, and the BBQ at the end of the day. Each participant should also raise £200 in sponsorship for Dorothy House.

If you're up for the challenge, register your interest over on the Dorothy House website and you'll be the first to know when tickets become available.

18-19 Sep Scarecrow Trail

The Dauntsey Academy Primary School are excited to announce the DAPS third annual Scarecrow Trail on the 18th and 19th of September. More details to follow - save the date!

Sat 25 Sep Chloe Jordan

Soprano Chloe Jordan presents 'Unlocked', an evening of voice raising money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance, on Saturday the 25th of September at the Town Hall here in Devizes. 

Featuring the music of Phantom of the Opera and Evita, famous classics and arias, and much more. Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for Childen, available from Devizes Books.


Sat 16 Oct Asa Murphy

The UK's number one Swing Singer and friend of Devizes returns to The Corn Exchange with his fantastic Swing Band on Saturday the 16th of October. Set to be a fantastic night of entertainment, featuring special guests Lennie Anderson and Sandy Collins, tickets are on sale at Devizes Books.
